Divorced Applicant Requirement:

When you have completed your minimum local license required time and educational requirements and your church board has recommended you for district licensing:
The NWIL policy on “The Divorce Issue” includes the following:
“All divorced applicants or their spouse (applying for a District license on the NWIL District) will meet with the District Supt. prior to meeting with the Board of Ministry. The appropriate documentation of the divorce will be presented and discussed. The issue of removing the barrier for licensing and potential ordination will be recommended to the Board of Ministry by the District Supt. at the appropriate time.”
