Ordination is a combination of:
Education – graduating from a validated course of study; Displayed competency of Character, Content, Context and Competency;
Time served – in an assigned position; and approval of the Board of Ministry, the District Superintendant and the residing General Superintendent.

Applying for Ordination:
The Northwestern Illinois District requires all candidates to have their studies completed on the year of ordination to be completed by Board of Ministry date in January of the year they wish to be considered for ordination.
Additionally the candidate must appear before the board of ministry in the May mid-year meeting prior to the ordination interview in October. Candidates only are required to attend the mid-year meeting. Spouses (if applicable) must attend the actual ordination interview that is held in October.
You must also submit applicable district licensing forms as well the year you apply for ordination. All applications should be submitted to the District Secretary email: districtsecretary@nwilnaz.org.
You must also submit a Bio of self & current photo (it may be one of you, you with your spouse, you with your family) with your ordination application.
